I have tried to contact them twice about volunteering and never get a response back from their contact us form.
Mom loves to read and the staff have kept a great supply of new books for her enjoyment! I think she's working on her 70th book by now and only been here about 9 months. Always friendly, clean and helpful. I'd highly recommend this beautiful setting for anyone needing Assisted Senior Living. Thank you all so much for making it a great experience ❤️
We have chosen Hearthside Senior Living. We got our names on the waiting list there. We met with the manager of the property. He gave us some brochures, and told us all about the property, the cost factors, and so forth. It is a nonprofit, so the cost factor is considerably lower than in other areas. I think they have 30 units in total. They have two two-bedroom units, and the rest of them are three-bedroom in a gorgeous layout with two car garages, a large great room, a kitchen, and a living area. Then on the particular unit, we went into was a screened-in patio out back and nice large…

They have two two-bedroom units, and the rest of them are three-bedroom in a gorgeous layout with two car garages, a large great room, a kitchen, and a living area. Then on the particular unit, we went into was a screened-in patio out back and nice large bedrooms. The master bedroom and master bath are good size. The kitchen is a good size and well-appointed. They maintain everything except your washer and dryer. The floorplan is just gorgeous from the inside out. All units are occupied right now, but they have an agreement with one of their people to let you come in and look at the facility. You can go into the assisted living facility and you can eat your three meals there or you can get them and take them home. They've got game rooms that you can participate in. It's top-notch. All of the people were very friendly at the assisted living facility where the office was.
I had a friend that had just moved into Hearthside Senior Living, and I visited with her. I haven't tried the food but my friend said it was good, and she's very picky. They did not have any internal court for the residents to wander in, and go sit in, or even look out at. They have more activities than my friend will want to do. They have amenities like a salon, and the place was very clean. The cost is astronomically high, but most of these places cost extremely high.
Our tour with Hearthside was fine but it was not as homey as we would have liked, more commercial and was also too expensive.
After 3 in the afternoon, there are 2 techs and no one else to 20 residents, so communication was nearly impossible since they have no staff members on site. They did not have enough staff to watch over the residents and my mom ended up wandering out and falling. I was notified by the hospital that she had fallen and when I called the facility, they did not know she was missing. If your loved one has a cognitive issue, do not place your loved one here. We did not have a good experience here.
Love living here, staff is great and love Activity Director
My aging grandmother stayed at Hearthside for several years and has since moved on to a nursing home. The times I went to visit her I was always happy to see such a caring and friendly staff. After I had gone once they remembered me and my family each and every other time I had gone. The entry lobby has a piano and some exotic birds in a glass enclosure which my kids loved, but I think the residents did too as my grandmother wanted to make sure she showed it to us. They also are located directly across from a city park which was perfect for my grandmother who loves to walk. There is a walking track around the park so this was perfect. They keep a very active calendar so that's nice for those that are more mobile and desiring of activities. Overall, I was very happy with this place.
