The Courtyards Senior facility will work with your family and senior for the best possible way to spend their days happy and healthy. Healthy food with variety available and nice walking paths to work it off. Our senior is in his happy place.
I cannot express enough about how well the staff here in Johnson City makes you feel like you’re at home. Each one of them are very tentative to the needs of my loved one and myself. I always feel comfortable coming and going. They go out of their way to make moving in as easy as they can for the residents and the family. I appreciate everything they do!
Great place with some great people.
My mom has only been here for 2 months so I can’t give a full review yet but so far they are very caring and loving towards the elders. They always answer the phone anytime you call versus some other places that do not.
The caregiver staff is very caring. The follow up from the director and head nurse needs drastic improvement.
They have great staff and God's answered our prayers for a temporary safe haven and place to heal for our loved one. We would recommend The Courtyards at Johnson City to other families who may need a place for their loved ones. A special thanks to [name removed] with A Place For Mom for helping make this placement possible
The longer my mother was there, we realized, that the nursing staff was not sufficient for her needs. Often times there would be no nurse available, or we would not get a return phone call and answer to our questions. They tried to bill us for Nursing care that she did not receive. And they could not produce any documentation for it. There was also three different instances where items were stolen from my mother‘s room. It included and not only cash, but also gift cards that we had purchased for her to give out to the staff. My mom had friends there, and it was hard for her to leave. But ultimately, I believe we made the right decision and she does too.
When it comes to the meals and dining, this area needs lots of work. There needs to be healthier, fresh food...more vegetables and fruits. And better quality meats. The activities has recently dramatically improved with the hiring of a really good activities director. Previously, there were limited activities for the residents. Overall, we are happy with The Courtyards but there's room for improvement.
