Brookdale Kingsport

We will soon move my stepmom to Brookdale of Kingsport, after having had an informative tour of their lovely facility. Nathaniel has been enormously helpful in securing a charming, renovated deluxe studio for her, as well as explaining and coordinating her transition from a rehab hospital. He also thoroughly explained how benefits work through Medicare after discharge from the rehab hospital, so my stepmom can continue to receive physical therapy without having to leave Brookdale. I feel very assured that as I navigate my way through this process, Nathaniel's expertise and dedication to being an available information source, my stepmom will be able to obtain the therapy and medical care she will need. Ashley was very supportive and helpful as well, and she spent a lot of time with me during our first meeting and tour. What stood out to me is there are many on the Brookdale team who have been there for several years, demonstrating that the Brookdale community is a positive atmosphere for the residents and the caregiving and management staff. I have felt such a peace of mind since I made the decision to work with Nathaniel and the Brookdale team for my step mom's care and well being. Update: We moved my stepmom to her new deluxe suite at Brookdale of Kingsport this week, and I absolutely could not be happier with the process. Literally from the moment my stepmother was discharged from the rehab hospital, the care and support provided by the Brookdale team was phenomenal. They personally picked her up and surrounded her with such a welcoming, helpful, and assuring atmosphere. Nathaniel handled all of the paperwork smoothly and did so much to be sure her new apartment was perfect. Philip the maintenance director was very attentive and took care of every single thing needed, Ashley the executive director was so kind, supportive and helpful, Doug and Kayla the nurses, Jo and Wendy of the Care team, and on and on the list goes of people who approached my stepmom with such a welcoming and kind demeanor. They made her feel at home immediately. They've been bringing her meals to her room while she gets settled in and even an evening snack and chat to help her feel comfortable. I truly am in awe at the loving atmosphere provided by the Brookdale Kingsport team. I feel as though a weight has been lifted, and I know my stepmother will have a happy, healthy life in her new apartment and as much fun as she chooses to participate in. My heartfelt thanks to the Brookdale team for making what could have been a very stressful process, an extremely pleasant one.

Don't go there. Food was horrible. Nasty. Gave her foods that was on her list of food allergies. They can improve by actually having activities. Only 1 event while she was there and they cancelled it.

Most caregivers take good care of mom! But as anywhere some are not as good as others! We really need exhaust fans and heaters in her bathroom! Sometimes odor not good!

Brookdale Kingsport is the absolute best. I would highly recommend this facility for anyone that is looking for a place for their loved ones. My loved one has been living at Brookdale Kingsport for a little over a year now. The staff is absolutely amazing and seem to care very deeply for the residents. The Wellness Director has been a huge advocate for my loved one about getting the correct treatments and therapy. The Executive Director is so nice and very helpful. If you have any concerns or issues she does her best to make sure it’s solved and addressed in a timely manner. The Maintenance Director is so sweet and very helpful. She has absolutely gone above and beyond not only for my loved one but also for all the residents. If you have any issues she is right on it and gets it taken care of quickly. I can’t brag about her enough. I have noticed she is always doing different projects to make this facility feel like home to the residents that live at Brookdale Kingsport.

It is so hard to put down in words how we feel about Brookdale Kingsport. We live out of state and it is so hard to be far away from a loved one. The staff there is so warm and loving. We looked at several Assisted Living Facilities in the Kingsport area before we decided on Brookdale Kingsport. The staff went above and beyond from the very beginning. From helping with move-in when we couldn't be there until the following day, to always treating us all like family . The Director of Health and Wellbeing is amazing, and we will miss her, she is an amazing advocate for the residents. The nursing staff and support staff were all kind, welcoming and exceptional in the care they provided. Communication is so important, especially when living so far away, we were always called if there was a change in status or a concern that needed addressing. Additionally, when we called with a question or anything at all, it was addressed promptly and professionally. We will miss everyone there and highly recomend Brookdale Kingsport for anyone looking for an Assisted Living Facilty.
