1. It has been good. 2. For the cleanliness, the only problem I see is outside. The pavement is in dire need of repairs. 3. Majority of the staff is very nice and friendly. 4. I am in independent living. If they have not seen me during the day they always check on me either by phone or in person. 5. Friendly and outgoing. 6. Good. 7. I haven't participated in much. We in the villas don't receive the schedule, so it's not easy to know what is going on.

The staff are friendly and helpful. They have awesome activities Monday-Friday. The activities are enriching and the staff are the best!!! The food choices offer a good variety and are balanced. Facility is neat and clean. Housekeeping services are solid. They all do great work. The nurses and their aids do a heroic job! On the down side, my issues are with responsiveness of outside nursing. Not the PT or OT personnel, but the NP. It is nearly impossible to talk to them. I have left numerous messages with zero follow up…unless I catch them in the facility. The other item is the noisy dining environment from the kitchen. The dining staff are less than friendly and treat some residents disrespectfully. Unlike everyone else in the facility, I firmly believe they hate their jobs.
The staff are very friendly and the activities are excellent. I don't have any way to assess the value for cost. I think it's ok but I don't know what other places charge or how to compare cost/value. We definitely would recommend. I can't overstate how much the activities director and her staff contribute to my satisfaction. They are truly an excellent team, actively soliciting residents' participation.
We weren’t sure at first what to expect, but they have gone above and beyond. If we had a concern, they were right there to help. We really appreciate the dining room as she doesn’t have to shop, cook, or cleanup. They do laundry and light housekeeping which is all she needs. Mom loves it there. At 96, it keeps her busy!
Most individuals in memory care at Brookdale show a gentleness toward the patients. They serve the meals in a respectful manner and seek to make it an enjoyable experience. Meal time is important for it brings everyone together and there can be some communication that goes on. Although many patients sleep a lot, it would be good to have designated activities in the morning and afternoon. There hasn’t been much thus far. Will see with the new Activities Director. Would be nice to show more wholesome tv programs & not just Netflix.
