Everyone was so easy to work with and very accommodating. Everything was explained to us and if we didn’t understand anything they were very patient. [name removed] seems to be very happy and actually seems to be thriving well.
The overall experience was very good. I appreciated [name removed] and all the work she did on the front end to get our aunt there. She definitely went the extra mile! The activities director was absolutely wonderful and helped our aunt to fit in from the start. What a treasure for the positive ambiance. I know finding enough good help is always a challenge and I know our aunt was a challenge at times. We had some difficulties during the period of a change in the financial position, and it always agitated her dealing with the bills left in her room that were incorrect. In my opinion it would be better to let the families deal with the billing and to document on that bill any discrepancies for clear understanding. She seemed to enjoy the meals and friendships she found there. I think housekeeping could have been better. I came frequently and had to straighten up and resupply toilet paper and empty the trash almost every time. I know it's a big and ongoing job to care for the elderly. Overall it was a great fit and we appreciate all the staff and care she received there.

I did a little volunteer work at the Goodlettsville Brookdale facility recently. Occasionally, in life, you run across someone that does an extraordinary job at what they do. The activity coordinator named Lori at this location was just this type of person. Her enthusiasm, her patience, her kindness were all qualities far above the average worker. Certainly gifted with her ability to work with people. She makes a difference in lives each day you could tell. Impressed!
Brookdale is a great place to work. I have been here for 6 months and I have a whole new family! The residents are the best and you will be loved by them ❤️. Staffing is and will always be an issue. It is that way everywhere now but if you love working with the senior community you will be fulfilled. Make a difference in someone's life today!
The layout of the building is excellent. Senior staff is outstanding. Once you get there you realize the day-to-day workers can leave a lot to be desired, the meals are not what is promised, and there is a pervasive attitude problem.
Spiders are in the rooms, killed 2 crawling up my leg while visiting a friend, then saw a sticky catcher in corner full of bugs and spiders. I would be alarmed if I had family that here.
I would tell a friend, how wonderful the facility and the staff is. They are exceptional on all levels.
