I can truly say that this place WAS amazing, however, the tide seems to have unfortunately shifted in the last few weeks. As I understand it, they decided to force everyone to go to 12 hour days, which has caused many issues. I have noticed a shift in the caregivers attitudes, and certainly in the care given to my loved one. Most of the staff here are older lady’s that just simply can’t give as good of care being forced to work 12 hour shifts. I have now been to the facility twice, within the last three weeks and have not gotten inside the facility, due to lack of staffing. One caregiver , at…

Most of the staff here are older lady’s that just simply can’t give as good of care being forced to work 12 hour shifts. I have now been to the facility twice, within the last three weeks and have not gotten inside the facility, due to lack of staffing. One caregiver , at times for the entire house. It is sad, but it seems that all of the facilities get money hungry from the top of the food change. I was in hopes that this facility would not follow suite, but I was wrong it seems. Just to be clear, I have sang the praises of this place and all of its staff for over a year now, I’m sad that our experience has suddenly shifted. Very sad I pray that the management will see the decline, and quickly reassess and keep it about the patients needs and not about more money.
If I could’ve give this place a o I would’ve.. was there January 15 till approximately February 4… nursing assistants were extremely rude screamed at you if you needed assistance… when they served meals no matter what you’re situation was you were made to wait sometimes a hour or longer.. they’re under staffed one nurse for our building.. Gloria was the sweetest and most kind of the nursing assistants.. not a nice place to be.. I was there for the rehab HA!!
My mother was at Ave Maria in the memory care unit for 2 years and she really was treated very well. Mom had lived with me but as the Alzheimer’s became a little worse and I was working as a nurse full time it became overwhelming. She really adapt ed very well to the St. Luke’s memory care unit. Each resident has their own room that they can decor with their own familiar things . The residents are together in a very home like situation and -they eat together at several large tables and they also had a open den like room with a TV. They have an activity director, Amber who is wonderful at her…

They have an activity director, Amber who is wonderful at her job. After 2 years Mom had a mild stroke and needed more care so she was sent to St Joseph’s greenhouse at Ave Maria. Again she received great care. Ave Maria has 9 individual small homes called greenhouses that serve 10 residents in each home. with meals and separate rooms in each house which is very nice.
Great facility for our loved one. Compassionate staff and quality care.
Make trips often to Ave Maria and have always had a warm and respectful experience. Many workers there have been there for so many years knowing they make a difference because of their commitment and love for the seniors. Hopefully you will be able to share these great experiences after you have placed your loved one here.
My mother in law was in the greenhouse for several years and she was very well cared for. We felt very relieved that she was being taken care of too.
Ave Maria is truly a wonderful place. My mother was there, my mother in law and several other extended family members. The staff and management are all such caring compassionate people. The assisted living always has something fun going on and the green houses, where my mother and mother in law were, feels like a home. Everyone has their own bedroom and bathroom, but can congregate in the middle where there’s a Living room and kitchen and they all eat together like a family. Being Catholic, I loved that I could roll my mother’s wheel chair into the chapel and we could attend mass together. Truly a special place! ❤️
I went to visit my aunt, and I was very impressed with how clean it was. And how polite the employees were there, it's a beautiful campus
