4.4 · 82 reviewsI liked that it had a at home feel, clean, I loved the staff, they cared about my dad, made sure his diapers were changed and got his medicine and sometimes fed his meal. My brother and I were lucky they took him when we struggled to care for him ourselves.
Unfortunately, primacy was bought by royal retreat assisted living which is also in Memphis. My aunt moved into their facility ([date removed]). My aunt got COVID (as did some of the other residents shortly afterwards). My aunt passed in July as a direct result. Primacy was ok and my aunt was getting acclimated to being in the facility. I liked the staff and they were attentive to her needs. I would not recommend Royal Retreat at all.

Clean, spacious, friendly, efficient. We got more for the money charged. Helpful, friendly, caring toward families.
The staff was very Friendly. The floors need it cleaned badly. The meal she was served for dinner was unacceptable A hot dog button with 2 small pieces of Turkey. Nothing else on it and the chip crumbs out of the bottom of a chip bag.
Found friend on toilet holding onto grab bar and no one around. Said she had been that way for awhile. Last time I was here they left her in that position for at least 10 minutes. She was in pain because she had to twist to hold on with her left hand because her right side is paralyzed. This time there was poop on the floor in front of toilet and in front of recliner. Also, there was a huge dead roach on the floor by her bed. Floor looks like it has never been mopped.
The facility is always well kept. No funny smells and the director is outstanding. The negative side is the aids are sometimes not as helpful as they should be. For us the main reason we chose this place was for the location and cost.
Very clean & neat. Staff were so nice to everyone.
