From the very start of the process Tasha and Tanya went way above and beyond for us and they continue to do so. They are such a support and just amazing. The nurses are all wonderful too , Monica is great with my mom and the events director Rosie has been so great as well . Special thanks to T and Soraya who have been so kind and sweet to me and my mom , they are angels . So happy that I picked mckendree for my moms care
I recently moved into assisted living at The McKendree. While it is a new chapter for me, the exceptional folks I have and continue to encounter have helped me tremendously. Margaret provided a tour of the apartments. She was wonderful to patiently take the time to answer all my [many] questions...and no pressure to sign any paperwork until I was ready. I met Tasha [administrative nurse] who talked to me and kept assuring me I would find peace and safety here..she gives great hugs too!! They hung pictures, set up my tv, replaced ceiling lights and was very accommodating with whatever they were asked to do.. Nurse Michelle stopped by to check on on me...taking time to answer all my questions...[yes.. I do ask questions..lol] MJ, Denise, CC, Florita continue to provide loving care. Thanks to everyone who have been instrumental in my move and making my apartment my new home. If you or a precious family member are in need of assisted living due to changes in your health/life, your first call should be to Margaret at The McKendree.
Tasha, Tanya, Margaret and the whole memory care crew have been the best as my folks health has failed.

The people that run this place are angels! They love on my mother, and do their best to make her happy. Because she is 93 and troubled with severe arthritis, it is never easy, but I am so thankful for their constant love, care and comfort they provide her. It starts with the director Tasha, and follows through to the nurses, techs and kitchen staff. They are truly a blessing.
Mom has been in Assisted Living since last October. Michelle, Denise, Astrid, Florita and the rest of the staff continue to provide excellent care. We're very pleased with the facilities and treatment she is receiving. Recommended!
The staff at The McKendree has been absolutely wonderful to both of my parents. Tasha, Margaret, and the rest of the staff have taken the sort of care with them that you always hope a loved one would receive. I cannot thank them enough.
Updating my previous 5 star review. My in laws live here; and everything has been truly so wonderful. It’s great having a people that truly care about your loved ones…this is a tight knit community that will welcome your loved ones with open arms. The transition can be tough but everyone makes it a point to keep your loved one involved in activities & get to know their story. It has been so wonderful & Margaret and Tasha are true angels. I’m so thankful for them and everyone at the Mckendree. Your loved one will thrive here and have people that really care about them. If you are looking for a place for family member, this is it. Thank you Mckendree for taking such good care of my mother and father in law!
My mom has been there for a little over a year...the staff is great! Caring and helpful! My and my mom's favorites are The now, director, Tasha, and Margaret is great! I personally recommend you talk to them! Some improvements are in the works, the food most importantly. Sure wish the pool were still open! And the fountain in the courtyard would be do beautiful...if you go see a room/apartment in the assisted living...ask to see my mom's! Joyce Thompson! Its beautiful 😍 Blessed to have my mom there!
