My sister had a valve replacement. We had to pick 3 out of 10 options for Rehab for her afterwards. Then we had to pick one from that 3. We finally settled on Midtown after speaking and meeting with the staff. We did the right thing. My sister is very happy there. She told me that the staff was really nice and helpful. I appreciate that because I love my sister and I want her to be treated well.
My 92 year old mother who has dementia, experience the most amazing five day respite care experience at Midtown Center. We were currently looking for the perfect place for mom's future long care and we are pretty sure Midtown is our choice! The staff were friendly, respectful, informative and extremely supportive and caring. Also, the bedrooms and common areas throughout the building were very nice clean and welcoming!
Just wanna say the people who I came in contact with about my father, was very sweet and kind and pleasant to talk to. Midtown rehabilitation center also has some beautiful, nice sweet, kind nurses.🥰
DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVE ONES HERE. If you never trust anyone trust what im saying to you. First impression the admission lady seemed so understanding and concerned about the patients. After the walk through I never saw or heard from her again. When my sister got POA the bank called to verify my mom was there WHY did they ask them for a copy of my mom bank statements when she was there just for rehab and not long term (2 weeks matter of fact and insurance paid). The night time CNA Dashia was so so so very rude and need to be in a different profession. I started marking my mom diapers when I arrived at 8am came back around 4pm and she had on the same diaper. There are a couple of good nurses that was good but thats about it. I had patients come up to me asking to take them home. I guarantee the good reviews are from employees. This place is GARBAGE! When my mother finally went home that didnt prepare us at all. They are suppose to have all resources in order for you to care for your family member before they leave. They did absolutely NOTHING. WE HAD TO FIGURE IT OUT QUICK. Now I will say Ms. Shay put in some effort to help but it was suppose to be done before she left. That place was killing my mom. Her mental state was really really bad always talking out of her head and not understanding much. Now that she is home she is mentally back and eating (she has a peg tube). If my mom would have been there any longer I dont think she would still be here.
I got admitted for a rotator cuff injury in Encompass Rehab.Their Rehabilitation was poor. They gave you 20 minutes of pt and or which include the time it took to take you from your room down the elevator which was often clogged. They were unable to help my shoulder so I had to get outpatient therapy for it for a while. One good nurse the rest were bad. Some horrible CNAs.Often the would not deliver the food some meals. It took me months to get a toilet chair to put over the toilet. I had a roommate that took about 5 days to kill.I got physical ly abused by some staff. The food was not too bad until the diatician quit and not replaced for 5 months. The social workers were sorry. They lost most of my clothes and many family members that made clothes for their loved ones. They were supposed to help me clean my apartment and never did.I slipped off the bed trying to pick up the tv control and spent 2 hours on the floor and ended up with hurt hips and torn rotator cuffs before they used the lift.I got a spinal cord infection which made me unable to get up and sit in a wheelchair.I lost 45 lbs in 6 weeks. My wheelchair got broken when it would get pushed under the bed.The administrator would take days to see me.The pt hurt my hips and knees.I finally got sent to a hospital to get an MRI which was scheduled and the took me to Methodist South against my wish and refused to take my leg braces with me.It took me 6 months to get my braces and possessions and the social workers said the through my stuff away.It took a lawyer writing letters and an ombudsman to get some of it dropped off in three trips.I never got my two wheelchair s,fanny pack with keys and checkbook.I got a letter from filing complaints which said they were found guilty of violating rules and laws.I got stuck in Methodist South for 17.5 months and lost everything there.Never send your loved ones there.
Clean facility with kind/helpful employees. Thank you for your passion on display in caring for those who can't do for themselves for a while & hopefully rehabilitating back to a better state of being!
My mother came there in December.we picked up her things and told them she is not coming back The ladies the clean her up. We’re fine. The PT lady was fine. I asked the nurse 2 weeks 1-17-26 since my mother was not eating to give her I’ve fluids. At that time she stated she had to put in an order because they have to get everything approved this was on the weekend. She said she was the nurse practitioner but did have her license. But my mom never received them. They had to rush her to the hospital. She won’t be going back there
Stopped in to visit today and was immediately welcomed by staff with warm and friendly smiles. Lunch was being served and I overheard compliments on the food from the residents. The facility was clean and had a welcoming feel overall.
