This is place is HORRENDOUS from the director to the lower level staff members! Please let me say, there were some AWESOME nurses and CNAs....Bravo Zulu to these wonderful few!!! The building needs to be condemned; my mother was in a room with torn blinds, antiquated furniture, and dirty linen. There were people sitting in the halls with soiled clothes on while the staff hung around the desk area gossiping. Needless to say, I got my mother the heck out of this place. DO NOT TAKE YOUR LOVE ONES TO THIS PLACE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE!
Very unprofessional.... I wouldn't recommend any one place their loved ones in this facility!!!!!
i want to let everyone how much i was dissatify with care of my husband. He was in the rehab part. he got there about one oclock in the morning and they didnt give him food till noon. he didnt get a bath till wednesday and then his brother and sister-in-law gaveit tohim. he was in there for two weeksand he only had about four days of therpy. i wouldnt put anyone in thereanymore. i have been in a rehab before for my legs and i got treated real well. i hope that anyone thinks twice before putting there love one in there.
This is a horrible place to send loved ones. I wouldn't let these people take care of my dog they are under staffed and it shows.this is ridiculous.
Really, really nice facility. I observed a lot of care towards the patients there.
My mother was a resident at Mid-South for 10 years, and I still have many friends who live at this facility. My mother was treated in a presidential fashion, hence, her room was referred to as the "White House." I looked after her for 11 years at home before she went to live at Mid-South. She had a massive stroke, which almost entirely destroyed her communications. She could understand what everyone was saying to her, but she couldn't respond except to say "yes" or "no." Despite all of this, she managed to make herself understood by the staff, who knowing how fussy she was, made it a point to understand what she was trying to say to them and comply with her wishes. On a visit from Ireland to see her one time, my brother remarked on how many times the staff came in to check on her. My mother was well beloved at Mid-South and as a caregiver, you can't ask for more.
Midsouth Home Health Care was one of the best things to happen to our family throughout my grandmother's sickness. Two different nurses came to the house twice a week (equalling four times). One nurse took my grandna's vutals, checked her legs and feet for swelling, and answered any questions we might have had. The other nurse was a physical therapist. She got my grandma up, made her walk with a walker, and showed us daily excercises to do. MHHC is a wonderful service. They actually care about patients.
