Words cannot describe how pleased I am with the care my mother has received through the years at this center. Everyone from leadership, social workers, nurses and assistants have treated my mother with the upmost love and continued support. This includes not just her physical needs but emotional ones as well. My mother has early onset dementia and I (daughter/conservator) live 4 hours away in Birmingham. I have learned to trust and lean on the staff so much through the years because they know her the best. They care for my mother day in and day out. They help her through difficult days and celebrate her victories. They have, in a sense, become family to me. They are thorough, diligent and consistent. I know that if I have a concern or question it will be addressed promptly and with care. The Health Center at Standifer Place has offered me such peace of mind regarding my mother. Forever grateful.

This place is awful my mom I know can be a tad bit difficult but it gives them the right to leave my mother in her feces and urine? My mother calls me frequently crying and screaming saying she is ignored left in her incontinence and all the administrator does is take up for her cnas my coworkers have told me to get my mom out of this place and my plan is just that DO NOT send your relative here.. I don’t see how this place ain’t shut down by now …

My brother, Daryl M. Miller has been a resident of West One for approximately one and a half years. During this time, he has been given extraordinarily caring, competent, professional attention and understanding in every aspect of his program! Even the Care Center smells good! Every person on the nursing staff that I've heard on phone calls or seen in person has been touchingly kind and thoughtful in her or his interaction with him! I think of Jackie, Mia, Heather, Miss Pinky, Gwen, Cassie, Renee, and Chloe as examples I've observed. Friendly LaToya, as Supervisor of Nurses on this Unit, has been particularly watchful of Daryl and helpful to him in fulfilling his needs, and using her role to support our family communications. Nila, amazingly Aware, open-hearted Soul, and Director of Dalton Place has coordinated Daryl's care, including our Staff Meetings, making sure I can be a member of his Team on the telephone! She has been remarkably and helpfully involved, allowing us as family to contact her at any time for any issue! It just feels so wonderful to have hers and La Toya's connection! Mallory, and Ben, Physical Therapists and Steve, Assistant (?), and Mallory, Occupational Therapist, Erica, Social Worker, Yolanda, Head of Customer Services, all admirably skilled in their Fields, have been consistently and cabably on top of Daryl's Care Profile and it's relationship their roles, each adding necessary information and needed perspectives for his optimal development and quality of Life! We, as family are utterly and endlessly grateful for all that each of you are giving, doing and Being, especially to Daryl, but to all the patients here, and for the spirit, the enlightened atmosphere of embracement you provide to all who enter here!! May you receive in kind the richness of all abundance and blessing desired by each, In Heart Connection, Cheryl C. Miller-Arndt, M.A., Ed.S. Learning Disorders Clinician School Psychologist P. S. I have been truly surprised and amazed by the Care given to my father, who has Parkinson’s disease here at this facility. Their team of providers, including staff , Social workersand therapists and nurses and doctors have been tremendous involved and willing to listen and encouraging us to be part of the treatment, teams and decision-making for his care. I never dreamed that nursing home facilities would be so professional at a place that takes Medicaid patients and state funded. They are wonderful. I have never been disappointed by any of them.

Very knowledgeable staff and excellent care.

Everyone is pleasant with a smile.

Our family has had a positive experience with Standifer Place Healthcare System while my husband has been in memory care. From the very beginning, the staff has been friendly, compassionate, and helpful. They consistently provided updates, which gave us peace of mind knowing how he was doing weekly. One thing we especially appreciated was how easy it was to access the facility to visit him. Visiting was always smooth, and we felt welcomed every time we walked through the doors. The team was always willing to answer questions we had, no matter how small, and they took the time to explain things clearly. We were also impressed with the safety protocols they have in place. It is obvious that resident safety and well-being are priorities. Knowing that there are strong procedures and protections in place made a difficult season much easier for our family. We are truly grateful for the care, communication, and kindness shown to both my husband and our family.
