Brookdale Germantown

It is a great facility! Big factor for choosign it: Cost! Staff sometimes short handed/turnover, often residents need assistance with getting around, eating/cutting food, swallowing. Not sure how many staff are certified nurse assistants. They do the best they can. It's a cut above most similar facilities in this region.

I visited Brookdale Germantown. They don't have any rooms really available. I put my mom on a waiting list for the type of room she needs. I was very impressed with them. They're very family oriented. Everybody was very kind. I could tell they cared about their residents. They were easy to talk to and they listened to what I had to say. They were very good. They were very focused. It was clean and the outside was well kept. I only got to see one room. It was a studio apartment, so it was only one bedroom, one bath, and kind of a sliding closet with a little kitchenette type system in there. It will be fine for one person.

I visited Brookdale Germantown and toured the assisted living for my mother. One thing I like is that it's small, only about 50 beds. The marketing director was very nice and informative. The place was very nice and clean. The size of the rooms was good. It's like a studio, just one large room without a kitchenette or anything. They do have a refrigerator and a microwave in the room. Their bathrooms were very large, and with handrails.

Residents are friendly and engaging with fellow residents without being intrusive. A true sense of community. Staff keeps us well informed of the status of Mom. She is thriving and likes being there.
