Craig is a perfect gentleman who transports you wherever you need to go. Thanks, Craig for making it easy and fun.
Mark and Gary harass clients. I took my grandmother on a tour of the place and will not step foot into that building again. They are pushy and money hungry. And will put on a convincing show just to get what they want. Do NOT take your family members to this establishment. Also they do not mention that the rent goes up yearly to an exceedingly high amount.
If I could give Zero stars I would. I signed my mother up to come here. During the waiting (as she was not moved in), her health declined and I had to sign her up with a different facility. I explained this to Brookdale, and they have done nothing but charge my Mom, and collectors have been calling her. My brother and I have spoken with the top management (Mark Frazee and Gary Burns) including emailing explaining all of this. It seemed like there was an understanding. However, not so. They are harassing my Mom and haven't stopped. Do Not take your family members here. Unfortunately this…

The food is almost always good. My father in law is super picky about food and consistently says that they need to do a better job with how they prepare it. I'd like them to know that they do everything possible to make the residence feel like family and I'm not just saying that. They are super nice and accommodating to my father-in-law. The director since the most well thought out written emails every single week that address the residence by name and I really love that. Even when he forgets an appointment and tells them at the last minute, they do everything they can to get him where he needs to be on time and he has never once been anxious about it. He really does love it.
The one-time fee at Brookdale Franklin was high, and there was a $450 one-time pet fee. The service dog did not count in that, just the cat. There were no exterior doors. It was all doors into a hallway. I asked about a one-bedroom, and it was $4600, and there was a 7% VA discount. I don't remember anything negative about the cleanliness or any of that. They had nice amenities. They had exercise classes, art classes, and church facilities. They had light housekeeping once a week. There was a library. The menu looked good. It's appropriate and well-balanced.
Overall, we are very satisfied with Brookdale. This is the only facility that I have had experience at, so I can't really compare this to other facilities.
My Mom, [name removed] was at Brookdale Franklin for about 15 months. She loved the community and people. However, after 2 rent increases of nearly 10% each time, the cost became unsustainable. The staff at Brookdale was exceptionally caring and engaged with the residents. They did an excellent job with special activities and outings. The facility is showing signs of wear/age, but is nicely maintained. [facility removed] is a newer facility, but there are ongoing challenges with food quality and a shortage of servers. The Executive Director needs to be more visible and engaged with the residents.
Our experience with Brookdale Franklin has been excellent. Our mother thrives beyond our expectations at Brookdale. Based on the experience we have had so far we would definitely recommend this community to other families who made need a place for their loved ones.
