I'd like to take the opportunity to share my experience at Shelby Oaks Post Acute. I have only GREAT things to say. The staff is pleasant and very accommodating. The Admissions Director (Latesa Leake) is informative and very thorough. She answered all of our questions and assured us that our loved one would be thoroughly cared for. We have found that to be the truth. In just over a week we've seen a tremendous difference. Our loved one is sitting up often, eating heartily, showering and even attending BINGO in the dining hall. This is all due to our CNA Tarsha Bates and Nurse Annette. They are THE BEST. We experienced horrible treatment with previous facilities. We are so excited about the care and attentiveness that we are receiving here at Shelby Oaks Post Acute. THANK YOU

I cannot say enough good things about Annette, the LPN caring for my father at this skilled nursing facility. She consistently goes above and beyond to ensure he receives the best possible care. Annette is incredibly patient and compassionate. She makes sure my father is clean, comfortable, and well cared for, and she always treats him with dignity and respect. On days when family members cannot be there during mealtimes, she makes sure he is fed and looked after, which gives us tremendous peace of mind. She is also excellent at communicating with our family, providing thorough and accurate updates about his condition and care. Annette is always pleasant and welcoming to both my father and his visitors, and her kindness never goes unnoticed. What stands out most is her genuine empathy and positive attitude. She always has an upbeat outlook and brings warmth and encouragement to those around her. It's clear that she truly cares about her patients and takes pride in what she does. You can also tell that her strong work ethic and dedication have a positive influence on those around her. The level of professionalism, compassion, and teamwork she demonstrates seems to set an example for others and contributes to a positive environment for both residents and staff. Our family is deeply grateful for Annette and the difference she has made in my father's care. She is an exceptional nurse and a wonderful person. Thank you, Annette, for everything you do.
