We thought they would take better care of my dad, but they didn't. We told them that he had a recent stomach infection at the hospital before he came there and he needed a bland diet for awhile. The ones in charge at the staff meeting disagreed. He also needed a monitor for his pacemaker which he never got in the 6 days that we saw him. He fell and had a huge knot on his forehead that bled and we told them to take him next door to the Vetetans hospital, didn't happen when he fell a second time either. Everything we discussed about him at the meeting was overridden by the attitude that "we know what to do," but we might as well have skipped the meeting because he was supposed to live at least 6 more months. It didn't happen. He died 5 days after we left and we never got a phone call to tell us that he was doing worse. We would have come to see him sooner had we been called and took him to the hospital or home. He never got any pain relief from hospice or the nursing home. His nice electric shaver was stolen before they even came to write down his personal belongings. After he died, his eyeglasses, wedding ring, and his partials were gone. He died 2 years ago. No thanks to TSVH, we no longer have a father or husband.

Great spirit with all of the employees willing to help anyone who needs it

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had the absolute best experience yesterday at the Tennessee State Veterans Home! From the moment I arrived, I was warmly greeted as I signed in. As I walked down the hall, a very helpful maintenance man guided me exactly where I needed to go. At the nurse’s station, I met Lisa Anderson, who was incredibly compassionate and wonderful to interact with. The entire facility was spotless, and every team member was exceptionally helpful… including the nurse caring directly for the patient I was supporting. The level of care and enthusiasm I witnessed was beyond what I’ve seen in a long…

Clean home and friendly people.

The Tennessee State Veterans home is inviting and clean. My mother-in-law arrived there yesterday after my wife and I took a tour and requested her to stay there. We are extremely happy how everything is maintained and the staff are friendly and inviting. Thank you!!

Its always nice to visit Mr. Hayes at the Tennessee Veterans Home in Murfreesboro! I was just thinking how well he is cared for, and how clean and pleasant this facility is every time I get the chance to stop by.... Warm wishes on a cold February afternoon !

Great people and experience.

I only have high praises for the staff here. The facility is always clean and smells good. They have been caring for my love one for almost 2 years now and the attention and patience that is provided to the him is just outstanding. I would definitely choose TSVH for myself if I ever need long term care.
