I just wanted to say that our experience with the Carriages of Rivergate was wonderful. My mom was there a little over a year when she passed away. The nurses and caregivers and whole staff were very caring and did a great job taking care of my mom who could be a little difficult at times. They engage with their residents and are good about doing their 2 hour checks. The place is very clean and smells pleasant (SO many don't!). They pick up trash several times a day and the maintenance staff does a great job keeping things nice and well maintained. It is very homey but also updated very well.…
I just wanted to say that our experience with the Carriages of Rivergate was wonderful. It is very homey but also updated very well. All these things matter when someone has to leave their wonderful and familiar home to live in these places. There are so many challenges today in these types of facilities and in this job field of caregiving these days and no place is perfect, of course, but I feel they are one of the best around. And when I have to go someday, I hope I can find and live in a place this nice and caring!
The lady that tours you is great at making you feel that it's a great place once you get signed up. She basically ignores you. The administrator isn't truthful and doesn't seem to care about concerns. The head nurse is not the best either. They are short staffed all the time.
5 in every category. I am extremely pleased with her care there and value for the money. Very friendly and attentive staff. Management easy to work with. Everyone goes out of their way to make the residents feel like it's home and not just a facility.
We love Carriage Crossing. It has been really good for us. They are an age in place. I feel like that is important. The facility is so welcoming and bright. Some of the facilities that we visited were gloomy and depressing so I feel this is important as well. The staff is very kind and interact with all the residents. The residents enjoy the workers. They are kind to families as well.
They have a new nurse in charge ([name removed]) and she's made a world of difference. Continuing to do the little things (if you're on the schedule for 2 baths per week - make it happen, don't give a bunch of excuses). So far so good - [name removed] coming in made everything better. Before, I would have given them a 2
When we decided to move my mother-in-law from the facility where she had been living, we found a wonderful new home for her at Carriage Crossing. Her apartment here feels so much more like home and she loves it! All of the on site staff are so kind and helpful. Family and visitors are always greeted with a welcome and a smile as soon as we come in the front door! There are numerous activities planned to encourage the residents to socialize and form community ties. [name removed] is great to work with and I highly recommend looking into Carriage Crossing!
This is difficult to do if I can't have the questions one by one sorry. Food was bad, it is dirty, staff were ok. That place is only good for totally independent people. Staff are nice but I don't think they deliver the care that is presented upon admission. My dad was found on the floor many times by myself or family and when we called for help it took a long time to get anyone. One time I went hunting for a staff member to help and had a difficult time finding anyone. They need more help!
Food and resident room cleanliness could very much be improved. Staff was very caring and pretty attentive. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend Carriage Crossings to others.
