Signature HealthCARE of Rogersville

My husband was at this facility for a few months for rehab. He is bedridden and needed help from eating, using the bathroom, turning in bed, ect. First, let me tell you, they are severely understaffed. My husband, on numerous occasions had to wait hours for a staff member to help him after using the call button. My husband called me several times during the night upset and asked me to call the after-hours nursing station because know one was coming to help him. Many complaints were filed to the Management and Supervisors. Nothing was ever done. Also, Management is a joke. Very, very unfriendly and the only time you see them smile or talk to the patients was when upper management was in the building. I have included pictures of the food that was given to my husband. Management was also shown pictures. I would have to cook and bring him breakfast and lunch. If you are a patient that needs help with feeding, the patient has to wait until all the trays are passed out. By that time, the food is fed cold. Rogersville Signature needs to investigate complaints made and filed. If you have a loved one at this facility make it a point to go unannounced when it is time for them to eat look to see what they're putting on their plates and trays. Not everything was bad. I feel one of the nurses named Mackenzie came in after her weekend off and immediately called me to tell me she thought my husband needed to be brought to the hospital immediately. That past weekend I did report to the nurse he wasn't doing well or responding well. The nurse just replied " we will keep an eye on him". I thank God for Mackenzie because I truly feel that she saved my husband's life. He was diagnosed with double pneumonia and spent a week in the hospital. He also had to get a procedure to drain his lungs. All the nurses are wonderful 👍 very sweet and caring. The majority of the CNAs were great. Not all!!! They seemed to be very overworked. I wanted to share our experience with this facility because people need to know everything BEFORE entering this place. And someone needs to speak up for the residents that live at this facility. Many that I spoke with were afraid to speak up for obvious reasons. This is why we needed to tell our story.
