I have been her for a week now and the staff has been amazing. They are professional and kind and understanding. I’m so happy I made my choice to come here to recover from my knee replacement!

My husband is in outpatient therapy due to a massive stroke. It is obvious that the therapists care about their patients. They are knowledgeable, professional, and determined. We are probably about 70% recovered. They have been as happy about every improvement and success as we have. I firmly believe that we wouldn’t be where we are today if it hadn’t been for them. I can not stress how much I recommend these therapists.

My mother had vertigo for 2 weeks of the time that she was there and no one did anything about it this is the worst place ever tried the contacting the administrator didn't get in touch with him a place is supposed to take care of the patient but this place only care about the money it's so sad that people don't care about their patients anymore

My Mother was there and the Staff are all great! She went to a different facility for a short time and the difference was like night and day. NHC Maury Trotwood is wonderful.

My husband Joseph broke his hip three weeks ago and is now at NHC! Everyone at this location is super nice and I’m there everyday at different times. He is well taken care of. So glad we chose this place. A big Thank You to everyone! We love you and God bless you all!

My soon-to-be 97 year old Grandfather was moved here from the hospital for transitional care, before he can return to his assisted living facility in Spring Hill. I was able to visit him yesterday with my mom. I was very impressed by the friendliness of the staff and their willingness to help us and my Grandpa for his specialized needs. The facility was very clean and although they seemed to have a significant number of patients, the staff was on it! There are some other place I've been to and it was obvious that some of the staff loathed being there, but not this place! It's easy to see that NHC-Columbia is committed to caring in a better way, while promoting recovery, well-being and independence to their residents. We felt at-ease with him being there and I highly recommend this place for anyone who needs skilled nursing, assisted living, independent living, homecare, hospice or specialized services for their loved one.

I wanted to take a minute and give credit where credit is due. My business partner selected this place from a referral from St. Thomas hospital for knee replacement aftercare. He was truly scared of the rehab process and had heard bad stories of intense pain and brutal PT follow ups. I had cautioned him on carefully selecting a place to go directly from surgery BEFORE going home alone and trying to manage with home care. I was his support and driver, and from my first visit to him there I was truly impressed with how easy it was to park right out front and access the facility. His room was spacious, quiet, and very comfortable. Everyone I met with there truly seemed to care about their job in assisting people in real need. From Chrystal in reception to David and Zachary in PT to Laura the director of the facility who I met with personally today, they all went out of their way to assist. I have been back now meeting with staff for a few weeks and the care and helpfulness of the staff continues to be just exceptional. Hats off to an A+ physical therapy and rehab facility in Maury County... Williamson County couldn't warm you guys up!

I don't even know where to start.....When we first got there? Everything was amazing. The staff was wonderful. They took time to educate us on the importance of supervision while she was eating, and the dangers of aspiration. How important it was to check and make sure she had no pocketed food etc etc. After her stroke my grandmother has not been herself. Apparently she kept yelling for help. Sometimes it seems she didn't actually need help and wasn't sure why she was yelling. I guess that annoyed them cause after that began? Wow. First they moved her to a different wing (the grove) ALL the way at the very back of the building (easier to ignore her that way). What happened next was shocking and disgusting. Again they were annoyed at her for yelling help. So they decided to drug her into a complete catatonic state. "For her dignity" they said. Yes so dignified to be catatonic with no idea where you are and not being able to recognize your own daughter. She had been progressing wonderfully in therapy. (The therapists there really are wonderful) Suddenly she literally couldn't stay awake for 5 minutes. She was unable to do ANY therapy and lost the ability to feed or care for herself at all. I had begun raising concerns about this and was ignored. Until the day I was there when she was completely drugged and out of it and they came in to drug her again! I really raised a fuss then. That same day we took pictures of all the pocketed food in her mouth and on her dentures and demanded a meeting. She had had all that food in her mouth overnight. It's a miracle she did not aspirate and die. So meeting happens, we are assured the drugging would stop immediately, we were told the dentures and mouth neglect was unacceptable and they would be sure it wouldn't happen again. We were still uneasy but came out of the meeting feeling better about her care......For exactly 2 days. 2 days later again we took pictures of the disgusting clumps of food in her mouth and on her dentures. She also was not being supervised during her meals (she absolutely was supposed to be). At this point I was done with the chain of command and chose to go straight to Mr. Craig Jones the head of the place. He was so condescending... But he did listen and promised to look into it. I was still very unsure but decided to let him fix it. What a joke. A few days later my nana was not well. My sister was there and felt like they weren't taking her seriously enough. But eventually she was taken to the hospital. Bleeding internally. When the EMT arrives at the hospital they had no report to give to the hospital. My sister had to give a report. All they (nhc) did was give them a 3 month old medical summary and tell them she was at "Baseline". They literally had no other info to give the doctors at the hospital. How is bleeding massively from your rectum "baseline"? Anyway, my nan had to have a blood transfusion and other care. When they were ready to discharge her I decided to once again call Craig to request she be put in a different wing (again we were so happy with the quality of care until they moved her to that awful wing, ran by that awful woman.) I also raised my concerns about what the emts had said. He basically called them liars and suggested I take my nana somewhere else. That was the plan but we needed a place for her to go for a few days after discharge until we could get our home ready for her. And we would just pretty much stay with her there til then. We already were done just didn't tell them that. Well, after he said that I did finally let a bit of attitude out and said I'm sure he did want her to leave since he had family actually demanding the level of care promised on all those sheets he had us sign. He then denied that he said that! Like what!? You literally JUST said we need to find somewhere else to take her!? Then he says yes he did say that but only cause I was unhappy. This man doesn't need to be running a bodega let alone a skilled nursing center. There is a complete disconnect and lack of empathy from him. His best skill is gaslighting.
