From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed by a receptionist who helped with the sign in process. The facility was beautiful and smelled nice. The rooms seem very roomy and had pretty artwork. Seems like a great place to rehab or stay!!
Perfect place for my mom as she recovers from a broken hip. Everyone we have encountered has been so caring, and so concerned about her recovery. The facility is clean, the food is amazing. I can't say enough good things about this place!
My mother was at Life Care Center of Blount County for about 6 weeks. Everyone there was wonderful, from the CNA’s, the nurses, the therapists, the receptionists, and all of the administrators. The only reason I can’t give 5 stars is the food is not very good at all. We had to bring meals to mom just about every day. Otherwise, everything was great. It is a beautiful and clean facility.
I took my mother and her friends to visit one of their friends who is on the rehab center at Life Care Center and the ladies had a wonderful visit. We sat in one of the private rooms and enjoyed our lunch together. Everyone at LCC is helpful and positive. Beautiful facility.
My father in law has been in this facility for about 20 days and his recovery has been nothing short of a miracle. I credit this staff and their diligence in care for his recovery. Excellent work!
So thankful for every single staff member that provided care for my father during his stay. His first experience with an inpatient rehabilitation facility was made so easy! He was treated like he was part of every staff members family from the first day. The facility is absolutely beautiful. The staff is amazing! Would highly recommend Life Care Center of Blount County to anyone in need of care or for a family member!
Beautiful building and grounds that are very well maintained. The food is good, although there seemed to be little regard for scheduling meals. Food comes when it comes. Physical Therapy did a good job, but was a bit haphazard in their scheduling. We had a multidisciplinary meeting on our second day in which they asked about preferences, scheduling, goals, and other personalized items. None of these seemed to make it to my father's routine. Each time I mentioned one of these items, the person involved claimed no one ever told them. Nursing care was horrendous. There are a few, very patient oriented CNAs who were much appreciated and carried most of the patient care burden. The nurses taking care of my father were completely uninformed, mostly disinterested, and bordering on incompetent. They seemed to have no idea what had happened the previous shift. It is as though they either don't write patient care notes, or they don't bother to read them. My father had a complication from a nursing procedure and had to be returned to the hospital for surgery. After his recovery from surgery, he made the decision not to return and enter hospice care. If there are any medical issues with your loved one, I would consider other facilities and not be swayed by the beautiful building and grounds. If you are in need of a short rehab stay and are able to manage your own needs, its a great place.
Seems to be a great facility for rehabilitation. My spouse admitted just days ago. Highly suggest not allowing hospital release at 5 pm or later in the day. This makes transfer of patients information from hospital to Rehab center to get delayed for consistent care. Life Care Center staff is super friendly and helpful. Surroundings are very nice also, with lots of activities for patients.
