If you care anything about your family member, do NOT put them in this center. If I could give them negative stars I would because they don't even deserve 1 star. Their rehab is a joke, I could have done better myself at home. Their attention to patients is pathetic, they take too long to respond when the patient pushes the button for help. There were several times when I went there visiting my wife and she wasn't in her room, they didn't even know where she was. Their rehab is a joke, I could have done better myself at home. Their attention to patients is pathetic, they take too long to respond when the patient pushes the button for help. There were several times when I went there visiting my wife and she wasn't in her room, they didn't even know where she was. Several days they let her go without eating anything at all because she didn't want to eat the hog slop they gave her that I wouldn't even feed to a hog. After 3 weeks of being there for physical rehab she actually came out weaker than she went in. And to top that off came out with a case of pneumonia I believe she got from that center they didn't even know she had that ended up putting her back in the hospital which caused more complications that put her on a ventilator and took her life. I seriously believe they greatly contributed to my wife's death. I wish I had never took her there, and should have taken her out of there after the first week of seeing how they were. And I would probably still have my wife.
My husband and I were invited to eat Thanksgiving lunch with my sister-in-law, DeDe Potter. The staff is always so nice and friendly. They seem like one big happy family. We were amazed that DeDe knew everyone’s name in the entire place. We were treated like family also. Thanks for all you do and I hope you all have a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year. By the way, the food was so delicious. Best turkey I’ve ever had. Nancy and Mike Potter
Pleasant atmosphere hardworking people
We had an awful experience with this facility. I am a nurse so I do understand the daily stresses of working in healthcare, particularly LTC and rehabilitation. The staff here were rude, avoidant and dismissive when attempting to address issues and concerns with our family member, who was there for therapy. No one in the facility could tell me how much therapy he was actually receiving including the Administrator, DON, ADON nor the Charge nurse on the floor. Post stroke is a critical time for Physical therapy, Occupational therapy, and Speech therapy for EACH and EVERY patient and should be treated as such. Turning a total care patient is also vital to prevent bed sores. This is the very basics of patient care. Our family member came home with 2 bed sores on the bottom and a few along the sides of the foot. I do NOT recommend this facility.
My mom has been there 100 days prior to going in permanently. They do rehab with her and a lot of the nurses walk with her. They catching the ball, singing, coloring, and for the holidays, they made hearts. My mom gets three big meals a day, and they watch her really well at lunchtime. She's very happy there. The food is pretty good and varied. My mom is getting her vegetables and fruit. She can also have ice cream if she wants.
Fun, loving, safe environment, and good food. Polite and caring workers.
My mother has lived there for more than a year. I have found the care she receives to be excellent! Many thanks to the hard working staff! 😇
