Harmony Hill

Harmony Hill was a smaller facility. It's in my dad's hometown so he likes it. The kitchen facilities and everything looked good and clean. They had some local preachers going on up there. It's a very Christian atmosphere.

When I moved my mother to Harmony Hill on January 12, 2014 I had no idea just how important a move it was. From the moment I met Janet she told their goal was to give my mother the best possible care for the rest of her days here on earth. That came to fruition on May 1, 2016 when my mother took her last breath and went home to see our creator. I'm telling this because I truly had no idea how important Harmony Hill would become to me and my family. As my mother's health and mind began to fail more and more, the care and other services they offer became all the more important. My mother was cared for in many more ways than just the listed items on their website. I truly believe our creator brought my mother to Harmony Hill as he brought many of the workers and other residents. If you want your loved one to live in a tight nit, family oriented environment, you need to give Harmony Hill in Huntingdon, TN a serious look and consideration. In the end, I realize just how of an important move it was the day I moved my mother there and I believe you will too.

Harmony Hill offered the most assistance and seemed to have the most activities planned on a daily basis. It had a family environment. The lady was extremely helpful and very friendly. She knew all the residents by name. There were three meals a day, and they could request a snack anytime. Everything was extremely clean and well cared for. We were impressed. I was very happy with the tour. The ratio of the residents to staff seemed good. I had no complaints.

Five star rating on all counts. Staff is excellent, qualified, and communicative. The facility is always well kept and the environment is positive and pleasant. There is a strong sense of friendship and community among the residents, with plenty of opportunity for entertainment and socialization.

I have had the opportunity to be involved in senior care facilities and visited numerous properties- at one point I was President of a Senior Ministries Board of Directors whose mission was the advancement of Senior Communities. Harmony Hill is truly unique. It is special for so many reasons. Most significantly, under the direction of Janet Bybee, the staff is professional and responsive to resident needs. Without exception, associates are compassionate and supportive. The move to assisted living is a juncture in life which many of us will face. Regardless of the pleasant atmosphere and safety afforded otherwise vulnerable seniors- there is a significant transition to undergo. Living independently in a home one has occupied and maintained gives way for community living. Most certainly there are extraordinary benefits with Harmony Hill living. However, without the commitment to quality senior living demonstrated day in and day out be each of the associates it would perhaps lack the feeling of home. Residents feel loved and cared for- their concerns and anxieties are eased by an interested listner- someone willing to share a moment of prayer and overall contiued reassurance. Harmony Hill is a beautiful property on a lovely setting - where the most wonderful family of dedicated professionals protect, respect and nuture a happy senior community.
