MY MOTHER HAS BEEN IN THE FACILITY SINCE JULY, 2022. SHE HAS RECEIVED EXCELLENT CARE AND PERSONAL ATTENTION. SHE REALLY ENJOYS THE FOOD AND SNACKS. I HAVE HAD INTERACTIONS WITH MANY OF THE STAFF AND ADMINISTRATORS AND AM HIGHLY PLEASED. THEY ARE VERY RESPONSIVE.
The cleanest, best smelling, and friendly
This is my third nursing home and it is by far the best. Very clean with the friendliest and most caring staff that you could ask for. I’m just here for rehab on my legs but I’ll never go anywhere else!
My mother resided there for the last weeks of her life. I was grateful for her care on every level; housekeeping, dietary, laundry, activities, aides, nurses, and therapists. Additionally, the office staff were efficient, kind during a difficult time, and patient. There are not enough kind words to say about Beth, the Social Worker. When mother was dispatched to the ER, and died in hospital, all staff were respectful as we gathered her things and settled the last of the business . There will always be little dips from best care or perfect care in an employee roster this size, but these were minimal. It was reassuring to walk in and realize that the place did not have that typical nursing home smell.
At dyer nursing home, i believe the staff to be very helpful and willing to do whatever they need to do to make you feel comfortable with your loved one living there. There are two buildings to this facility, one is assisted living and the other is institutionalized nursing home. There are few amenities provided to either, maybe because it is located in a small town, however, the facilities are always clean and staff is always nice. My fa mily member there has advanced alzheimers and i would like to see more available research or programs for those people. Most of the time, all they have to do is watch television! they need more programs and perhaps to add some amenities to be supervised such as an indoor or outdoor swimming pool.
Dyer Nursing Home had a very pleasant environment and a very kind staff. However, they also appeared to be understaffed, so each staff member was very busy and this sometimes caused a long wait time for them to answer calls. Despite this, the staff knew the residents very well, and formed personal connections with them. They also had many events scheduled every week, so that the residents could have things to look forward to and enjoy. The interior could have been more cheerfully decorated instead of plain white walls; however, the exterior was very nice looking with flowers by the door. Each room had a window looking outside, and there were bird feeders by the windows looking into the yard. (I thought that was an especially nice touch.) While it had its shortcomings, I thought that Dyer Nursing Home was a good place for my grandmother.
