3.1 · 74 reviewsI’m a former employee of the Brookdale Altamonte springs ALF and they are terrible. They are refusing to give me a copy of something that is mine since I no longer work there. Try calling corporate, no one answers. This place was so short staffed and there is lack of communication between coworkers in that place. I was threatened to be fired and had complaints about me from family members, it’s my first time going into healthcare as I came from working in the food industry.
Don't expect to be able to get any info for deceased parents. I've been trying to get financial records for may parents stay at the Chandler facility...nothing. I can't even figure out who to talk to, that location doesn't return calls. The corporate numbers just transfer you back and forth., or hang up on you. We cannot settle our parents estate without these records.
I’m a previous employee for the one in Fort Collins Colorado where I quit because there was an elderly man sexually assaulting an elderly woman resident and the staff wouldn’t do anything about it. There was elderly neglect happening and abuse so I quit now for the last month I’ve been calling the Fort Collins location and the Greeley Colorado location, attempting to get my W-2 address changed due to the fact that I moved all the way to Evansville, Indiana every single time I’ve asked to talk to the supervisor. All I want is my W-2 and then I will be saying good riddance to your trashy neglect company. You don’t care about the elderly residence. I was put on the floor before I ever did my computer training number one number two I didn’t do training for another month after being there as well as I was never trained hands-on the entire time I worked there if I had no previous experience that would’ve put elderly patients out risk you guys should be shut down and I’m gonna do everything I can to help that you don’t care not about your employees not about your Residence none of you care people should not leave their parents their grandparents people with Alzheimer’s or dementia at your facilities

Got a letter before Thanksgiving in 2025 stating that the company would be increasing rates? never heard anything until I get the bill for the month of January 26 (from corp or the local facility where my moms is at) (**was an increase of almost $600 monthly) cost of living is not that much,, this is like a increase of 30% increase monthly how can they expect anyone to pay that amount and our local director stated that she would work something out with us,, been sending emails, filing reports and no word from anyone in corporate office, finally after a full day the director at local Brookdale site emailed and said she was working on it?? however the automatic draft will hit very soon and I don't think that a $600 monthly increase is fair, especially when no one calls or when they see just how much it is because they have to key it into computer, so they know how is corporate office running, nobody answers calls just AI crap I am about to get the Tennessee DHHS involved and notify the Tennessee Insurance that the raise these rates without notice and its already outrageous amount to pay each month
I have never been treated so horribly at a place of work as I have at a facility. Short staffed, favoritism and no accountability for poor work.
I’m not sure where all of these negative reviews are coming from but it’s important to remember that people are doing the best they can. Sure, things can be fixed but not EVERYTHING is horrible. Chances are your complaints are ONE thing while EVERYTHING ELSE is going right. See the good things too.
Biggest complaint is the food. It's horrid. Brookdale Corporate takes way too big of a cut from the rents people pay.
