4.4 · 82 reviewsWe had a wonderful time offering ice cream to the residents and staff. Smoky Mountain Hospice was glad to give back to our wonderful veterans and those that serve them.
They treat our Veterans with respect and compassion!
If your loved one requires assistance with eating or drinking while here, the CNAs make little effort to help and instead let the patient become dangerously dehydrated. This was confirmed by ER doctors at a nearby hospital. CNAs and management have little incentive to care because Tennessee law makes it nearly impossible to sue any nursing home. There are much better facilities in Knoxville that employ staff who care.

everyone was very helpful and nice
Although my wife was only there for a short time I was extremely impressed. The staff was very professional and very caring, both the medical and the administrative. I only wish that I had gotten her there sooner. Can’t say enough good things about the people there. I would recommend it to anyone.
So proud of my father in law for his service to our country in the Army. Also working with the Honor Guard in countless funeral services. Volunteering to respectfully honoring our service members at their funerals. A true patriot! Now in his need for heath care 24/7 we are so blessed to count on this Veterans home! Very good personnel and care! To be there with fellow veterans means alot to him. Thank you to all at Ben Atchley Veterans Home for everything you do!
I do not have a family member here, but I come to play Bagpipes and tell funny bagpipe stories…. The residents seem very happy and good humored… They must be being treated well…. (They laugh at my cheesy jokes! 😊)
I go to Ben Atchley Veteran's home with a singing group. The patients seem to enjoy our show and we enjoy it too.
