Looking for a place for an elderly parent (especially one with complex medical issues) is emotional and exhausting. I just had to give a shout out to Belmont Village at Green Hills. Not only is the facility beautiful and spotless, Elizabeth on their team has been beyond amazing!! I think because she started as one of the caregivers, she really understands dementia, PT/OT, the different levels of care that the residents need (eg., the Circle of Friends designed by people who understand dementia). As compared to other facilities, instead of high-pressure tactics, I felt like Belmont Village…
As compared to other facilities, instead of high-pressure tactics, I felt like Belmont Village holds the family's hand through the transition. I don't normally do this type of post, but wanted to share my experience with others dealing with this challenge!
Beautiful community with caring and friendly staff. They have lots of activities and a very unique approach to their memory care.
Van blocks alleyways.
The facility is clean. The staff are very friendly and kind. The food is good. They have lots of entertainment.
Good staff, great physical therapy, great lunch room with good food, very nice rooms but can be quite pricey. Very nice salon but can be backed up due to high demand so they need two people or two days a week service instead of one day. Billing department needs better quality. Services offered appear plentiful but mother had not used any other than physical therapy. Overall, a great facility compared to many others!
It is a bait n switch start low and after 90 days increase stating resident requires more care. Found feces left in the floor of the residents bathroom. When brought to the attention of staff it was addressed. The pals are not trained as well when dealing with those with dementia. Many staff members do the very minimum. Space is very limited for activities and dining. More activities available for assisted living than for memory care. Staff make promises that can't be kept. Initially everything is great until you move your family member in. Strongly suggest multiple visits before signing any contract. Some visits need to be unannounced and at various times.
Belmont Village Green Hills is a very friendly place! The staff are very interesting in making everything pleasant for all of the residents. The food is great! A broader variety on the menu would be welcomed.
The staff are very friendly but at times they could work on communication with families
